Looking to do something about your weight?

You can self-refer to the ‘Foodwise’ programme via the ‘Hywel Dda Be Well’ programme (previously known as Education Programmes for Patients (EPP)). More information can be found here https://hduhb.nhs.wales/healthcare/services-and-teams/education-programmes-for-patients/ or search ‘Hywel Dda Be Well’ on Facebook. Please note there are a wide variety of other courses available to support lifestyle, chronic symptoms or chronic disease.

If your BMI is 30 or more, you are eligible to self-refer to the Hywel Dda weight management programme online here: https://hduhb.nhs.wales/healthcare/services-and-teams/weight-management-service/ This is also the route for anyone looking for injectable medication or weight loss surgery.

There is a ‘NHS Weight Loss Plan’ app that you might want to download.

If you are interested in being referred to the National Exercise Referral Scheme at the leisure centre, then please contact the surgery to request referral. More information is available here: http://www.ceredigionactif.org.uk/gp.html.

There are also a number of local initiatives to support people to be more active, including walking groups, yoga and much more!
